Investing For Good is a hands-on program that teaches students how investment decisions, risk, responsibility and generosity intersect in the real world.

Students research investment opportunities, debate tradeoffs and ultimately decide how capital should be deployed - knowing that their choices will have real consequences and real impact.

How the Program Works

1. Learn & Engage

Students begin by learning the fundamentals of investing and decision-making. They explore how capital is allocated, how risk and reward are evaluated and how different choices lead to different outcomes. Rather than memorizing formulas or abstract concepts, students engage with real scenarios — analyzing companies, industries and causes through both financial and ethical lenses.

2. Decide with Responsibility

With a foundation in place, students move from learning to deciding. Working in teams, they debate ideas, weigh tradeoffs, and defend their thinking in front of peers and our Board of Advisors. This is where responsibility becomes real — students understand that their decisions are not theoretical and that outcomes, good or bad, are tied directly to their choices. Students also present the charity that they have chosen to invest for the benefit of.

3. Give with Purpose

The program culminates in action. Capital is deployed and directed toward a selected charitable cause, turning analysis and decision-making into tangible impact. Students see the full arc — from idea to outcome — and experience what it means to give thoughtfully rather than reactively.
