Chris Chiang, Advisor

Chris is a senior finance executive with extensive experience building and leading financial planning and analysis functions inside large, complex organizations. He currently serves as Executive Vice President of FP&A and Treasurer at Authentic Brands Group, where he partners closely with leadership on capital allocation, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

Prior to Authentic, Chris spent nearly 17 years at J.Crew, progressing through a series of increasingly senior FP&A leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. During his tenure, he helped guide the company through periods of growth, transformation, and operational complexity, building teams and systems that supported informed, data-driven decisions across the organization.

Earlier in his career, Chris held finance and controller roles at Health Science Communications and Synapse Group, and began his professional journey at Arthur Andersen. His background combines accounting discipline with real-world operating finance, giving him a practical perspective on how strategy, budgets, and execution intersect.

Chris brings a calm, analytical, and highly practical approach to mentorship, helping students understand how financial decisions are made inside real companies — not just in theory, but day to day.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Rutgers University.
